Dumitru Balea has more than 12 years of experience as a lawyer. He is a specialized lawyer in litigation, tort law, contracts law and intellectual property law. The focused advice he provides to clients also covers areas of corporate or administrative law. The litigations in which Dumitru Balea has successfully represented his Romanian and foreign clients have covered various fields of law, such as real estates, labor law, transportation law, enforcement of obligations, medical and research law, etc.

His lawyer's practice is based on a long-standing study of law. He obtained his law degree at the Faculty of Law of the "Babeș-Bolyai" University of Cluj-Napoca, where he also attended the master's course "European and National Business Law". Dumitru Balea is a PhD in law, the academic degree being graded "Summa cum laude" by the same university, after having defended his thesis entitled "Non-Conventional Legal Entities".

Dumitru Balea's academic activity represents a guarantee of a thorough knowledge of the law, through research, participation in national and international conferences and following study programs abroad. At the same time, he teaches contracts law, inheritance law and introduction to civil law to students enrolled at the Faculty of Law of the "Babeș-Bolyai" University in Cluj-Napoca. Dumitru Balea also offers guidance, in the field of copyright, to trainee lawyers within the National Institute for the Training and Improvement of Lawyers, Cluj Territorial Center.
